The Official 9th District LKS Youth Turkey Hunt RSVP Thread:

As announced earlier this year, the 9th District League of Kentucky Sportsmen is holding a youth Turkey Challenge for the 2008 season.

To enter the Youth Turkey Challenge, the youth must come by the Cumberland Valley Sports League in Corbin off of Devil's neck road (At Exit 29 on I-75 take Adams Rd behind the Cracker Barrel to Devils Neck Rd, turn right and follow Devil's neck to it's end at the CVSL property) on Friday April 4th to register and for the team drawing.

Each youth must have their parent or legal guardian sign a liability waiver releasing the 9th District LKS, it's Member Clubs, Sponsors, and Volunteers from any liability associated with the hunt.

Youth will be drawn for teams of 2. They need not hunt together, but each team member can submit a bird for scoring to count toward the team score.

The youth will hunt on Saturday April 5th and bring their harvested birds back to Cumberland Valley between Noon and 5 PM on Saturday to be scored.

Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd placed teams as well as the largest bird.

Youth in the contest must have their Kentucky Hunter's Safety Card to participate.

If you have a youth planning to participate, please RSVP in this thread to let us know so we will have approximate numbers to be adequately prepared.
